APSPL has associated with some NGO’s including “SAKSHAM”. Saksham is a campaign driven by a passion to help God’s chosen people live with severe disabilities while caring for themselves. An NGO founded by like-minded people, their families, and the society in which they live.
Experience has shown that the obstacles to achieving this goal are not necessarily physical limitations, but a lack of empowerment and awareness. Lack of knowledge of small assistive devices or lack of readiness to learn new ways of coping with daily tasks, learning to sit for long periods of time, moving from bed to wheelchair or car and vice versa, using assistive devices, Proper Use, Basic Support, and General Pain Management. How to Avoid Common Infections active and passive exercise to prevent bedsores, keep muscles, joints flexible, bones strong, and most importantly, reduce inhibitions and fears and improve the society in which you live, learn and Become a member.
The first few weeks of a victim of an accident or debilitating illness are filled with financial, occupational, social, health and medical problems and worries that usually ruin their life. There is very little suspicion, harassment, or fear, and very few people ask for support or guidance.
From there, we want to start providing appropriate advice and comfort. Arrange or provide housing aids such as wheelchairs, pressure redistribution pillows/mattresses, other housing aids and medicines, and arrange appropriate medical care if available. Finally, they are ready for employment or self-employment.
